1st Wed. of Month: Presentation Meeting | 5:30-8pm | (Herzing #120)
Deep dive into a .NET topic from the premier .NET presenters from Microsoft and Industry.  Free pizza and prizes!  Encourange everyone to arrive at Herzing College (5218 East Terrace Drive, Madison - Room #120) prior to 5:30 PM to connect with other developers, and the presentation starts promptly at 6PM.

2nd Wed. of Month: .NET Lunch | 11:45am-1pm | (Alt'n Bach's)
We meet at Alt-n-Backs Pub for a great lunch starting at 11:45, and host an open discussion on .NET topics. (2602 Whalen Lane Madison, WI)  Great way for those looking to meet other .NET developers to stay in touch.

3rd Wed. of Month: ALL.NET Meeting | 5:30-8pm | (Herzing #120)
ALL.NET is an open meeting focusing on "Micro" presentation, those being shorter talks on .NET topics of interest - great way to talk about something you created, found or something that you just have questions on!  This is YOUR time to come and tap the minds and share with some of the other top developers in our area!  Great way to solve the problems you're facing at work and come back looking like a .NET rock star!  And everyone always learns something. :)

• Develop, test, implement, document and maintain high quality business systems solutions on various computer platforms, adhering to established methodology and practices, and in accordance with project plans. Implement and coordinate approved project plans and activities. Track progress against these plans and report status and any issues to management and project team members.


• Provide direction, technical guidance and training to professional staff in project planning, reporting, scheduling, and workflow direction on small to medium sized projects. Provide direction and technical guidance on problem resolution. Provide constructive feedback to individual team members and their respective manager regarding performance on projects and support work.


• Perform systems analysis and design in translating business requirements into technical specifications, (independently for small projects and with some assistance for larger projects). Proactively identify and communicate process and system improvement ideas to IT or business.


• Promptly and professionally assume ownership and respond to customer requests. Independently, perform root cause analysis, impact analysis, problem determination and problem resolution support. Collaborate with appropriate business and IT staff throughout the problem resolution process.


• Develop and maintain client-specific knowledge and associated business systems knowledge commensurate with work experience.


• Maintain knowledge of application development technologies, methodologies, and standards. Acquire and effectively apply new technical skills as driven by business need and/or technology advancements.

 

Candidate Requirements
• BS in MIS or CS or equiv trade-off in related education and related professional work experience.


• High level of proficiency demonstrated in a business environment with the last 3 years in at least 3 of the following:
Application development life cycle
Object Oriented development
Current Microsoft development environment (VB.net)
Web Services development
Java experience a plus
Problem resolution


• Demonstrated working knowledge of application development concepts in a multi-platform computing environment, including application development life cycle, n-tier development, object oriented design, etc


• Demonstrated skills in translating business requirements into technical specifications, project planning and organization, and providing technical leadership to one or more developers


• Proven ability to clearly and effectively communicate business and technical information, both verbally and in writing.


• Proven ability to provide a high level of customer service.
